Liberty Park Redevelopment

Allen & Hoshall was the City of Memphis’ Civil Engineer of Record for the design of site improvements for the 30-acre Memphis Sports and Events Center site at Liberty Park (formerly the Memphis Fairgrounds).

The project included design for a shovel-ready building pad for the new 245,000 SF building being designed separately. The project design included grading and drainage, stormwater management and detention, engineered-fill embankment for building pad, site layout, access drives and parking layouts, sidewalks and other pedestrian-ways, utilities (water, sewer, gas), and site lighting. Relocation of Young Avenue was also included.

Allen & Hoshall was a part of the team that evaluated the 155-acre Memphis Fairgrounds site and existing facilities for the purpose of redevelopment.
