Tunica, Mississippi
The Gateway to the Blues Museum consists of a new 5,000 sq. ft. single-story structure that is adjacent to the Gateway to the Blues Visitor Center and Gift Shop. The facade of the Museum is weathered board-batten construction, intended to reflect the typical farm structures of the Mississippi Delta.
The museum houses the Blues Memorabilia donated to Tunica County by Horseshoe Casino as well as audio-visual interpretative exhibits.
Allen & Hoshall provided planning, design, construction administration, and CEI services for the project.
This $1,100,000 project is funded in part by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) with additional funding provided by the local county government.
