Bartlett, Tennessee
Allen & Hoshall provided fast-track design for this design-build project. The 2 million square foot facility houses assembly, storage, and distribution functions as well as offices and research/development labs.
Allen & Hoshall architects and engineers programmed this facility and planned present and future space requirements based on the owners business plan. The site plan was created for the development of a 106-acre industrial complex in Bartlett, Tennessee. It included four detention ponds, over a mile of storm drain piping, and erosion control plans.
Allen & Hoshall also provided design services for 1.9 miles of major collector roadway, part 5-lane, part 4-lane with a raised median. The project was bid in two contracts in order to accommodate the scheduled completion of the industrial facility. The roadway was designed and constructed under the State’s Industrial Access Road Program, to TDOT standards. Extensive coordination was required with the industry, TDOT, the City of Bartlett and the effected property owners. Allen & Hoshall was responsible for field surveys, acquisition plats and legal descriptions, and preparation of right-of-way and construction plans. Plans include extensive storm drainage, erosion control, traffic control, signing and marking.
